Background
About Greg Rogge
Collaborative Relationships | Innovative Change | Continuous Improvement | Fostering Engagement Like all Canada Port Authorities, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is established by the Government of Canada pursuant to the Canada Marine Act, and accountable to the federal Minister of Transport. Our mandate is to facilitate Canada’s trade objectives, ensuring goods are moved safely, while protecting the environment and considering local communities. The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest, supporting close to one in every five dollars of trade in goods that flow through the Vancouver Gateway to over 170 countries and offering the broadest range of cargo-handling options of any port in North America. I am a team-spirited, innovative and results oriented leader with more than 30 years of transportation leadership and logistics experience with a demonstrated track record for exceeding the most challenging organizational goals and objectives. In my role as the Director, Land Operations at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, I provide senior leadership and guidance to a very talented, engaged and diversified team of logistics professionals overseeing the efficient movement of cargo and people through Canada's largest port. I am responsible for leading, developing and implementing landside logistics, operations policies, procedures, and processes for planning of secure, safe disciplined, fluid and efficient freight flow activities within the jurisdiction of VFPA. I cultivate and sustain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and customers, to understand their competing interests and priorities, while balancing their needs with gateway performance within a complex regulatory and commercial environment. I also represent VFPA in commercial and regulatory discussions, corporate events, community engagement and in the media as required, ensuring clear communication of the port's objectives and business strategies.
