About Greg Shier

My education and career as a structural design engineer has made me proficient in design thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking, and project management. I hold paramount a dedication to public safety and professional integrity instilled through adherence to Professional Engineers Ontario’s Professional Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics and successful completion of the associated professional exams. Experience in both consulting and as an educator has made me a confident and effective technical communicator. My success in working collaboratively in cross-functional teams with architects, developers, and other engineers is the result of my ability to act with tact and diplomacy when working with peers and stakeholders. My background in research has aided my creative thinking and problem solving abilities by exposing me to the fine line where innovative solutions and constructability intersect.
