About Greg Slaughter

Starting in 1988, I have been involved in all aspects of delivering computers and software solutions for customers associated with the medical industry, construction building materials industry and the transportation industry. In addition to these industries, I have a versatile set of skills in other industries, to include automotive shop owner and mechanic, boat captain and technician, construction sub-contractor, automotive parts distribution and counter sales, and 10 years as an aerospace ground equipment technician supporting the F-4 Phantom jets in the Alabama Air National Guard and the United States Air Force. Providing solutions to construction building materials (mainly concrete) has been the biggest part of my career, whether working with dispatch managers on the use of CommandAlkon software, defining concrete delivery cycles to produce precise measurements at Trimble, wiring concrete plants and batch panels at RMC / Cemex, interfacing scale heads for the aggregate materials, or working with software teams to produce user-friendly applications for daily business operations. My career with the construction materials industry has been my favored niche. However, I mostly enjoy my career working with software development teams. My career includes positions working as a quality assurance analyst, writing or analyzing code, business analysis, and implementations at the customer site. In all positions, the most rewarding aspect was to be present at the customer sites and watch the developments in action and training users on new products or enhancements that we have installed.
