About Greg Smith

Greg Smith, native Houstonian, joined PS Lightwave in November of 2014 as the Fiber Optic Network Design Supervisor and was promoted to the role of Director of Internal Operations in November of 2017. Mr. Smith brought with him over two decades of experience and a breadth of understanding of the telecommunications industry. Before joining the PS Lightwave team, Mr. Smith worked in Fiber Optic Design for Phonoscope Enterprises Group. He joined Phonoscope in 1989, pulling coax cable in apartment complexes before being promoted to the Design Department. Having worked in many roles within the telecommunications industry, Mr. Smith is able to offer his vast expertise to all areas of PS Lightwave’s day-to-day operations from Network Design to Project Management, making him an invaluable resource for his Operations Team. He and his wife of 21 years have two daughters. His oldest daughter is a proud member of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Both daughters are honor roll students and Mr. Smith couldn’t be more proud of his daughters’ extracurricular activities.
