Tactful tenacity: My early experience as a biathlon and triathlon athlete ensured tenacity, and being an organizational leader honed my expertise in tactful leadership. These are traits that served me well in my early engineering career and my subsequent experience in progressively responsible senior finance roles. Coupled with competitive experience was the partnership experience I gained on longer bike rides, sharing the lead, spending my share of time bucking the headwind so the rest of the team could relax for a while. These characteristics set the stage for my Finance career, in which I earned a reputation as a go-to fixer while supporting $10M-$1B organizations and administering up to $300M annual capital budgets.** PERFORMANCE REVERSALS: Drove Cox Las Vegas Collections from worst to first in a metro area with the then-highest unemployment rate in the US. Instrumental in Cox’s $20M over-achievement of its cash flow forecast.** ASSET WRITE-OFF MAXIMIZATION: Established mitigating control that prevented audit compliance issues and enabled $30M in asset write-offs.** BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Paved the way for $1.5M in annualized margin. Built the business case for a $50M capital investment based on customer penetration data. Enabled market expansion to 1M+ households with tens of millions in revenue. The secret to all of these successes is my ability to identify and fix the process holes that drain the profits out of any organization.
