Thanks to a couple of decades and then some in the Oil and Gas industry, managing people for the last ten years of my life, multiple articles, a few books and some people crazy enough to let me be guest editor in a few places, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain the trust of just over 30k “followers” here with LinkedIn. I honestly hate the euphemism “followers”, I can’t say that I have lead anyone, anywhere here on LinkedIn. I have been given the opportunity and the platform to express my thoughts openly about the future and the past as well as current events. And there is one thing for sure, I do not know more than others but I know enough about the industry and the people to ask good questions and to listen to those who have forgotten more than I will ever know. I have a very brass personality which comes across irritating to some but intriguing to others. Nothing grabs me faster than a confident person in inclement situations especially when it comes to change. My job is to be a navigator of process, persevere through misinterpretation and to make the impossible, possible. I work for Vantage Drilling based in the Cayman islands managing the 6th Generation Ultra Deepwater Drillship the Tungsten Explorer. I am also the founder of Rig Lynx, the Largest Mobile Energy Network, where we spend our days creating digital media for our clients and connecting people all over the world.
