Responsible for managing enterprise-wide media relations for a Fortune Global 500 company with operations at more than client sites throughout North America. Develops strategic communications plans for projects and campaigns, while also managing support staff, agency and vendor partners. Directly contributes to a content publishing model for external communications that has increased positive brand visibility A highly motivated communications professional comfortable working independently or collaboratively with executives at all levels of operations and management, Greg has 15 years’ experience utilizing multiple communications disciplines to include media relations, marketing, issues management and crisis communications. He joined Sodexo in 2003 and during his time with the company has supported all segments with proactive outreach and media response to local, national and trade press. Greg was a Spirit of Sodexo Award Winner in 2011 for his work in support of the annual Sodexo Future Chefs: Healthy Challenge, a K-12 culinary program he helped make one of the top news-generating stories for the company each year. Prior to joining Sodexo, Greg worked for Romano & Associates, Inc, a full-service communications company in Ellicott City, MD, where he planned, managed and executed complete campaigns for mostly non-profit organization clients. He received his Bachelor's in Journalism at the Pennsylvania State University after studying radio, television and film at Temple University. Greg's areas of expertise include crisis and issues management, marketing support, media relations: traditional and digital strategies, writing and editing and strategic planning.
