About Greg Young

I am the Director of the Recovery Friendly Workplace - PA initiative for Unity Recovery working from our Manayunk office. Our organization offers free, low barrier peer support services for recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. We serve the whole state of PA with a wide variety of programs, workshops, services, trainings, and resources; all available in person, over the phone and online. I have been in sustained, long term recovery since May 29, 2018 and I am proud to work for an organization that allows me to utilize my lived experience to help others each and everyday. The specific program I oversee offers employment support and opportunities as well as training to business owners and organizations on how to best support staff who may be in recovery. Our FREE employer training can set up any size business/org from any industry with the knowledge and policy structure to be certified as a Recovery Friendly Workplace - a focus on wellness, empathy, and compassion for employees that results in heightened production, better morale, improved retention, over all cost savings, and better recruitment.
