I am a Chartered Engineer and an active member of Engineers Ireland with over 23 years of postgraduate experience predominantly in motorway and civil infrastructure. My career path to date has exposed me to both public and private sectors; acting as a manager, designer and design supervisor managing teams for both Client and Contractor teams in the development of detailed designs, tender-proposals, preparation of contract documents feasibility studies, preliminary design and cost estimation. I am a highly self-motivated person constantly developing and diversifying my professional skills. I have very good communication and interpersonal skills. I have worked as Project Manager, Project Design Coordinator, Highway Design Team Leader and Designer and I have wide-ranging postgraduate experience. As an active member of Engineers Ireland I am involved in the Interviewer’s Panel for Professional Title of Chartered Engineer of Engineers Ireland. I am computer literate and experienced highway designer, advanced Bentley MX and Microsoft Office/Excel user. Experienced in design and supervision of highways works. I have Proficient working knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Method of Measurements for Road Works. Irish Regional Chairman of MX User Association and Bentley MX Training Course Leader. Holder of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certificate - Managing Safely in Construction course completed in March 2008.
