I have been at Goodyear Tire and Rubber company since they purchased Cooper Tire and Rubber Company about 3 years ago. Starting out with Goodyear I worked very closely as a data matter expert as we tried to mesh the Cooper Tire scheduling process with the Goodyear scheduling process. I am currently a Lead Supply Planner with 3 Item Level Planners who report to me. Each Item Planner does the production planning/scheduling of a tire plant. We are responsible for maintaining a schedule that provides an inventory level by material that allows us to stay between preset inventory targets which are created to maintain a set fill rate for that material. We deal with plant complexities, product sourcing, daily inventory, orders, demand forecast to make our scheduling decisions. This is a fast pace, high visibility, high stress position that takes teamwork, flexibility and great understanding of the manufacturing process to be successful. Before Goodyear acquired Cooper I had been at Cooper since June of 1993 starting in the IT department for a little over a year and then moving into the supply chain area with the main concentration being in the Corporate Scheduling and Replenishment areas. I was on a team that won a chairman's award for new product introduction, and I have scheduled a joint venture with Pirelli Tire. I have been involved with sourcing product at our lowest cost plants in order to maximize profits. I have helped implement 2 different scheduling systems in our department. I have helped develop a fill rate reporting system using Power BI. When we purchased our Mexico tire plant, I changed positions to scheduling the Mexico plant and have travelled to the plant multiple times as we have continued to expand the plant and the products, we make there. I am very team-oriented believing that when the team succeeds the company succeeds. I am very flexible and adaptive to changes that are needed and constantly working on ways to improve the current process. I believe the characteristics that made me successful at Cooper has carried over and made me successful at Goodyear. I look forward to carrying on those characteristics and success at whatever next opportunity waits for me.
