A Chartered Manager accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, a Masters in Engineering and Management, and recognized as an Incorporated Engineer by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Finalist in 2024 for ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the Ex-Forces in Business Awards, the world's largest celebration of ex-military personnel in second careers. All reflects a distinguished senior management career in Engineering Project Management. My professional journey commenced in a full-service career in the Royal Navy, serving as a Combat Systems Engineer and leading teams of engineers, ensuring project success and maintaining equipment availability and reliability to uphold the operational capability of the Royal Navy fleet on a global scale; ultimately attaining the highest non-commissioned rank. I transitioned into the oil and gas industry, excelling in electrical project engineering and diversifying into COMAH Management and Operational Safety before re-entering the military sphere as the Acting Head of Naval Engineering with BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia. I founded two separate project engineering consultancy businesses; a self-owned Private Limited Company, specializing in engineering and project management consultancy services and co-founding Hamilton PMO, an independent, experienced Project Management organization in the offshore drilling industry. During this time, I successfully catered to three prominent multinational corporations, consistently delivering exceptional results and providing project management and support services of varying size and complexity across key strategic global locations. Currently, I am the Senior Project Manager for IGS Limited, a critical role leading the overall management of global installation projects of an innovative vertical farming solution ensuring that all are suitably resourced, completed on budget, on time and within scope. I demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and ability to excel in team influence, collaboration, and building enduring stakeholder relationships in various industries. This proficiency enables adept management of complex projects, address contractor demands, and oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects in multi-national, multi-vendor, and high-pressure environments.
