Highly energetic, committed, and passionate results-driven non-profit sector professional with 5+ years experience in grant management, fundraising, and program work, with a specialization in the implementation of community development programs to support at-risk elementary-age students, in addition to children and youth residing in high-needs communities across Canada. HIGHLIGHTS • Spent the past five years building solid resource and equity supports for schools and communities across Canada: ensured that all programs and partnerships run smoothly to help the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation meet it's mandate of putting books into the hands of children to support a lifelong love of reading, create inclusive and safe spaces where children feel seen through literacy resourcing, AND raise awareness about the Canadian literacy crisis • Launched a $1M+ Community Response Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide relief-funding to support the purchase of books and educational resources to support families in high-needs communities across Canada • Am a clear and dynamic communicator; able to present strategy directives and industry knowledge to diverse audiences • Known for building strong and purposeful relationships with both internal and external community development partners
