About Gregory Coffos

First and foremost, I am a husband, a father, and a believer. My family and faith are the foundation of everything I do, shaping my commitment to service and leadership. With over a decade of experience in social services, I proudly serve as the Director of Veterans Services for Riverside County, where I lead transformative initiatives that empower veterans and their families. I oversee countywide programs that connect veterans with the benefits, resources, and support they’ve earned—ensuring they receive the highest level of care and advocacy. My leadership has driven significant advancements, including significantly increasing the department’s budget and expanding our service portfolio, expanding our team, streamlining operations, and launching pioneering initiatives like the No Soldier Left Behind Initiative. I bring a strong foundation in leadership, strategy, and innovation, holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL), and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership (DSL). My expertise spans housing and homeless services, community outreach, team development, and creative problem-solving. Beyond my role, I am committed to advancing veteran-focused policies and initiatives at the state and national levels. I serve as the Homeless Committee Chair and a third-year trustee for the California Association for County Veterans Services Officers (CACVSO), where I advocate for sustainable solutions to address veteran homelessness and enhance veteran services across California. I am honored to lead a team of dedicated professionals who share my mission: ensuring that no veteran is left behind. Every day, I strive to innovate, collaborate, and drive meaningful change to better serve those who have sacrificed for our country.
