About Gregory Decker
I currently serve as Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and Professor of Music Theory at the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts in Ohio. In this position, I supervise around 150 graduate students and the entire graduate curriculum, manage a multi-million dollar budget, and coordinate operations among the college, students, and many units on campus. And I teach classes, too! Through my dual role as professor and administrator, I've gained experience in management, accounting, communication, operations, data collection/analysis, critical/creative thinking, writing, editing, public speaking, assessment, cooperative work, and relationship building. I am also the editor and contributing author to two scholarly collections from Oxford University Press (2020) and University of Michigan Press (2023).
