About Gregory Easton

Throughout most of my life, I have been involved with computers in various capacities. I began working with the first IBM PCs by utilizing computers to control movie and slide projectors for promotional multi-image presentations. As technology progressed, I began using Apples and Macs, experimenting with the earliest versions of Photoshop to manipulate black and white photos. I eventually developed DOS programs to analyze photographic film layers and calculate and examine color. As I moved on to 486 machines, I learned how to automate equipment and processes, which ultimately reduced waste and overhead labor costs. In every job I have held, I have been a self-motivated individual, willing to go above and beyond to ensure that I provide excellent service. I am energetic and open to learning new skills and systems. In most positions, I have created, defined, and expanded my role within the organization. My passion and curiosity have always driven me to discover new ways of improving processes and achieving objectives. The advent of digital imaging rendered the analog film world obsolete. As a result, I learned to code and build websites while also performing installations, upgrades, rebuilds, and maintenance on individual computers and network infrastructure, including servers, switches, and routers. My background in graphics, photography, video, and other creative arts enabled me to become proficient in using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, which allowed me to write, design, and publish numerous brochures, newsletters, advertisements, and mass email campaigns. In addition, my work required me to learn SEO, analytics, OTT advertising and marketing, all focused on acquiring new clients. My expertise in electronics and my prior field service experience also enabled me to work in the wireless broadband industry. From 2014 to 2020, I maintained a network located in the southeast United States, scheduling quarterly site inspections, traveling from site to site to verify and document transmitter operational parameters. If there were any issues, I resolved them on-site, often requiring repairs and operational checks. Due to the remote locations, I had to carry out these tasks independently and unsupervised. The technology landscape is constantly changing, but certain career fundamentals remain the same. It is crucial to stay open-minded, remain curious, and always strive to learn more.
