About Gregory Edney

I am the Owner / Operator of National Property Inspections Eugene and am the lead inspector. At National Property Inspections, we offer Home Inspections, Multi Unit inspections, and Commercial Property Inspections. I retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2020. During my tenure, i had the pleasure of acting as the Engineer Division Head for 6 years at two Coast Guard units and as the Assistant Engineer Division Head for 6 years at two other Coat Guard units. In these roles, I excelled at managing a workforce responsible for the Maintenance and repair of Coast Guard Boats, Facilities, and Residential Homes. As a Coast Guard Port Engineer for two years I was responsible for conducting Marine Surveys on Coast Guard Small Boats in California for their planned depot level repairs. This duty required me to work independently by reviewing maintenance records and identifying a vessels maintenance needs. Detail reports were provided to a Project Manager to create a Commercial contract for bid. Additionally, as a Port Engineer, I was responsible for overseeing active contracts at various facilities and justify if additional repairs need to be made and order parts as needed. I'm a very motivated and dedicated Engineering Professional turned business owner / property inspector who is committed to the overall success of an organization by providing support, technical assistance, and leadership. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Emergency Management, Operational Planning, Management, and Command. Strong engineering professional with an Associates in Arts focused in Supervision and Management from Coastline Community College.
