I am a Chartered Accountant (CA) who qualified while working at EY in their Banking and Capital Markets Assurance division. During my time at EY, I gained valuable experience auditing global investment banks and financial institutions, where I developed a strong technical foundation in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and controls. I also had significant exposure to client advisory work, collaborating directly with senior stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations on key issues, strengthening my communication skills and commercial judgement. Working with complex financial instruments and large data sets in a high-pressure environment has equipped me with a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of how banks operate at both a strategic and operational level. I am now looking to transition into investment banking, where I can combine my analytical capabilities with my passion for corporate finance and deal-making. I am particularly interested in capital markets, where I can contribute meaningfully while continuing to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. My long-term ambition is to grow within a team where I can be both technically strong and client-facing, helping businesses navigate complex transactions and strategic decisions. I bring with me strong skills in financial analysis, valuation, and financial modelling, underpinned by a solid accounting foundation. My time at EY, working with major clients including Nomura and Deutsche Bank, has given me hands-on insight into how global investment banks operate and create value for their clients. This experience has deepened my understanding of their balance sheets, business models, risk management frameworks, and capital structures. I am commercially astute, detail-oriented, and thrive in collaborative, high-pressure environments where precision and meeting deadlines are critical.
