About Gregory Harris

I’ve worked in the distribution department at the Daily Hampshire Gazette for 19 years. The last 14 years of my employment has been in a managerial capacity. I started as a general laborer and work my way up to the manager of my department. I’m both used to and at home with a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. One of our main focuses I’ve the last 14 years was commercial print which demanded an eye for detail to make sure our product arrived on time and in pristine condition for our customers. I’ve managed up to 30 people on a single shift directing them in tandem to complete the singular goal of putting out a quality product for both our commercial customers and our subscribers for our in house products. I’ve designed and implemented most of the processes we currently use. Always with an eye towards efficiency and reducing waste. I’ve become familiar with Lean and I’ve been able to use this to augment processes already created to further reduce waste and cost. This has been a large focus over the last few years as our company faces the challenges of a rapidly changing media landscape. I’m very good at thinking on my feet and changing plans quickly when presented with obstacles.
