About Gregory Imhoff

What could teaching high school English and developing a website possibly have in common? Well, I originally got my bachelor's degree in Education because I want to make a positive impact on the world, and I believe that doing so through my job gives me so much more passion and excitement about what I do. But I found myself looking for more in a career. I have observed that these two careers are connected by a love for both learning and critical thinking, and I recognized that a career transition into tech better allowed me to exercise more of my problem-solving and creative skills. I love to be challenged creatively and intellectually, and what better career to pursue for those things than as a software engineer? Now, after I recently completed an intensive 28 week coding boot camp, which helped me to enhance my knowledge of full-stack software development, I’m a full stack developer, knowledgeable about Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Flask, and SQL. I’m really looking forward to joining a dynamic, collaborative team where I can share my skills and knowledge of different software languages. Though I’m comfortable in all phases of development, I love using my experience in education to bring concepts to life, so I really enjoy the aspects of development that allow me to create elegant user interfaces and optimize the user experience. I’m looking for a mission-driven company that is working on innovative new products and services, and that shares my value for creating a positive social impact.
