About Gregory Labelle

Avec mon mémoire de maîtrise écrit et un article scientifique en rédaction, le tout portant sur l'écoulement dans une turbine Francis, je peux dire que l'hydroélectricité me passionne. Les résultats de mon projet de maîtrise ont ajouté à l'état de l'art de l'écoulement dans une turbine Francis. Au régime sans charge, j'ai pu caractériser l'écoulement et identifier des structures tourbillonnaires qui n'avaient auparavant jamais été directement mesurées et comparer ces structures avec ce qui avait été fait dans la littérature. Après presque 10 ans à travailler dans le service à la clientèle, j'ai eu amplement de temps pour peaufiner ma communication orale. En plus, j’ai su démontrer ma capacité pour la résolution de problèmes et pour le désamorçage de situation problématiques dans le cadre de mes deux stages en gestion de projets. Finalement, en tant qu'assistant gérant au Coureur Nordique, j'ai pu travailler mes aptitudes de leadership et de travail d'équipe. With my completed master's thesis and a scientific article in progress, both focused on flow in a Francis turbine, I can say that hydroelectricity is a passion of mine. The results of my thesis project have contributed to the state of the art in understanding flow in a Francis turbine. Specifically, under no-load conditions, I was able to characterize the flow and identify vortical structures that had never before been directly measured and compare these structures with what had been reported in the literature. After almost 10 years of working in customer service, I have had ample time to refine my oral communication skills. Additionally, I have demonstrated my problem-solving abilities and defused problematic situations through my two internships in project management. Finally, as an assistant manager at Coureur Nordique, I was able to develop my leadership skills and team working abilities.
