About Gregory Martin
I am passionate about soil microbial ecology and the effects of human activities on ecosystem function. I am particularly interested in i) how disturbances, climate change and edaphic variation shape plant communities, plant-microbe interactions, and microbial community composition and function, and ii) how these microbial community changes influence soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics across multiple scales. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to the development of ecologically sustainable land management practices.
