About Gregory Placentine

Senior Project Manager with a foundation in Railway Operations and Maintenance combining more than ten years in the North American Rail Industry. Tenure with the Canadian Class 1 Railways, in both leadership and unionized roles, with well-established knowledge into Locomotive Repair, Maintenance, Yard and Mainline Operations, Conceptual/Detailed Design of Industrial Yards, Construction Administration, R&D for Materials, and Manufacturing Industry experience. As well as managing large multidisciplinary transit projects. Diversified skillsets in the fields of pneumatics, electrical and civil engineering applications. An unique combination of skills has allowed for the delivery of dynamic but practical approaches to overcome a variety of business challenges. Knowledge in developing safety committees, programs, and implementation into offices and projects. I hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, graduating with great distinction, and one of the top five students in the Engineering Faculty. While attending Concordia University, I was awarded a NSERC Research Grant to perform research into advanced aerospace materials. Furthermore, I passionately had a great interest in sharing knowledge and past successes by leading tutorials for Statics and Mechanics of Material courses in University.
