About Gregory Silva

Gregory J. Silva has over 25 years of foodservice experience ranging from restaurants to exclusive hotels. He has been an active member of the American Culinary Federation since 1998 and the Research Chefs Association. His education started with a Foods & Nutrition degree from Radford University, Radford, VA and continued through his education at The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY. Gregory has held many positions within the seven years at Heinz North American, Foodservice Division. They include, Operator Sales Representative-Northeast Division, Heinz Sales Representative-Northeast Division and Regional Frozen Specialist-Southeast Division. His last position before starting his own food manufacturing company was the West Coast Corporate Chef to the National Account Team which relocated him to Southern California based in Irvine. His account list included; Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s, IHOP, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Del Taco and Subway. This gave him an extensive understanding on custom proprietary products for national rollouts. His new company, Flavor First Foods, Inc. founded in 2010 now reflects the need to help small independent restaurants in the New England area become the next regional or national chain. The state of the art facility is located in West Bridgewater, MA specializing in proprietary sauces, soups, salsas and dressing packaged in flexible pouches ranging from 8oz to 4#.
