Accomplished software engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects and products. Practiced in clarifying business requirements, performing gap analysis between goals and existing procedures/skill sets, designing process and system improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs, experienced at mentoring and on-boarding of new engineers. Strong interpersonal skills, highly adept at facilitating discussions and negotiations with stakeholders. As a Senior Software Engineer for last several employers, I’ve provided leadership and mentorship to the entire software and engineering organizations, focusing on software development practices and craft, automation, configuration, monitoring, and process improvements. In my experience, a Senior Software Engineer is expected to lead the full lifecycle of feature development. This includes definition, design, implementation, testing; including production operations and support. In the position of Senior Software Engineer, I’ve balanced the roles of software engineer, build engineer, dev ops engineer, data analyst, reluctant database and Unix system administrator, mentor, project manager, and technical writer.
