About Gregory Williams

Nature inclusive design for the marine environment. Interests in the energy transition, development, sustainable finance, and holistic solutions that consider system scale terrestrial geomorphology, coastal processes, offshore morphodynamics and sediment dynamic processes. My role at Van Oord Offshore Energy has been to bring focus to the portfolio of sustainability initiatives, strategy, and progress operational excellence. From January 2021, my responsibilities centered around the further development of scalable activities for nature enhancement in marine construction through the initiation and development of nature based solutions, directing the application of knowledge from operations and our team of specialist environmental engineers. Since 2024, I have returned to offshore operations presently supporting the construction phase of Nordesee Cluster (Germany/EU). My responsibilities pertain to HSE, logistics and planning of operations for foundation load out for Aeolus + Boreas, and supporting the subsea rock instation scope of SRIVs Bravenes + Stornes. I maintain keen interest in topics regarding Marine Net Gain. Former STEM Student Ambassador at the University of Southampton I relish any opportunity to apply my perspective and experiences towards solutions for marine and offshore challenges at every magnitude.
