About Gretchen Bebb

Gretchen received her BS and MS degrees from Florida State University in Speech Pathology and an MM from Rice University in Flute Performance. She owned and operated a private practice, Speech Pathways, PC, in Houston, TX that was sold in mid 2013. In the early 1990s, Gretchen developed and published the first progress tracking system in the medical industry called ProWrite. A standalone prototype was developed in the mid This version subsequently became the current web-based version called TreatWrite which was launched in 2008. She sold the software to Practice EHR in 2020.Entrepreneurship in the fields of private practice and allied health documentation lead to natural curiosities about laws and regulations driving the healthcare industry. Gretchen pursued those interests with active participation in state and national committees for regulatory affairs and reimbursement. She actively speaks at local, state and national events on private practice business management, reimbursement topics and documentation. Understanding the impact of progress tracking has focused creative interests on what can be accomplished by combining progress tracking with big data analytics. Her current focus is on making learning healthcare a reality for allied health professionals and integrating that functionality into the Practice EHR platform.Gretchen loves to swim, enjoys fun with friends, and to play the flute.
