About Gretchen Corcoran

People, health, and society are my primary interests - and the main reason I chose psychology and sociology as my undergraduate majors. I am currently searching for a job that will allow me to use these interests in conjunction with my passions for working with others, research, and solving problems. My undergraduate research projects include investigating the perceptions of biracial individuals, and investigating how ageism, age-based discrimination, and coping in older adults. My previous experience in the restaurant industry endowed me with a passion for helping others, the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality, and to anticipate and meet the needs of customers. These skills and experiences, the knowledge I have acquired through my schooling, and my experience as an undergraduate researcher makes me an excellent hire and edition to a team. I am excited for what the future holds after my graduation - I can't wait to discover a new city (Houston) and being able to start putting my knowledge and skills to work.
