Dr. Gretchen E. Bath has a diverse background in international marine science and policy leadership from federal government and environmental non-government organizations. As a research scientist she has experience developing and directing multi-disciplinary and multi-investigator research programs, translating scientific discoveries, and providing contextual frameworks to diverse stakeholders. Throughout her career Dr. Bath has cultivated government relations; performed policy analyses and development among regional, national, tribal, and international platforms; created networks; and strategically navigated the interplay among academic institutions, government agencies, community stakeholders, and nonprofit organizations. As a policy expert she has socialized and articulated policy issues with organization priorities and strategically forecasted, navigated, and positioned organizations and leadership in the face of these issues.
