About Gretchen Pedraza

I am an energetic and optimistic bilingual (both English and Spanish) professional working on becoming trilingual! My passion for writing is immovable, so I kicked off my own company where I have been working as a freelance writer since 2016. So far, I have published two books and have helped other aspiring authors do the same. My first novel, Sublimation, was written for youths who struggle with self-harm. A part of the proceeds earned from the book goes to RAINN, a non-profit organization to help victims of sexual abuse and incest. Besides having a longing for becoming the next R.L. Stine, I am aware of the issues that affect the community I grew up in and take pride in helping. Becoming a board director for a Non-Profit organization of my choice is in my bucket list. When it came to my education, I decided to let my humanity gravitate me, and I received my Bachelors of Science in Social Services & Behavioral Sciences from Springfield College. Not having any guidance growing up, I BECAME a mentor and youth counselor for others. I currently volunteer at the Cor Unum Meal Center in Lawrence, where we serve nutritious hot meals to those in need.
