Growing independent school leader with multiple years of directing a small group of teachers during a semester long program. This involves curriculum development, parent communication, and teaching multiple sections to the 7th graders enrolled-Successful upper and middle school teacher who has differentiated instruction for students in grades 5-12. Teach both English and Social Studies curriculum, following common core standards while taking pride in unique formative and summative assessments. Utilize masters-level training to enhance students experience in the classroom and during tutoring sessions through technology, project-based learning, and primary source analysis -Vermont and North Carolina licensed educator with experience teaching in New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont-Completed undergraduate major requirements, including 100-page thesis paper at the College of Wooster as part of a year-long Independent Study. Worked one-on-one with a faculty adviser to conceive, organize and complete this project on a topic of my own choosing. The project was structured to develop initiative, independent judgment, creative problem solving, and strong written and oral communication skills. My thesis was entitled “America’s First Forester: The Reaction of the Forest Service and the Department of the Interior to the Gifford Pinchot-Richard Ballinger Controversy.” -Lead guide at Camp Pathfinder, which offers boys ages 7-16 an exceptional wilderness camp experience. Located on Pathfinder Island, Source Lake in world-famous Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Leader among highly trained staff of 70 counselors and guides who provide individual attention for every boy. Gained extensive experience in providing healthy, rewarding, maturing experiences for adolescent boys-Creatively consulted and educated salesmen in the field while on the internal sales team at a life insurance company. Utilized differentiating skills to aid in process of clients protecting their loved ones and planning for the future-Site Director at YMCA of Western North Carolina in Asheville, North Carolina, after receiving a promotion from Youth Mentor.
