About Griffin Thom

As a squad leader at 916th Support Brigade, I am responsible for leading, training, and mentoring a team of 12 soldiers, ensuring their readiness, welfare, and safety. I also coordinate and execute missions, maintain accountability of equipment and vehicles, and communicate with higher command and other units. I have over 10 years of military experience in transportation and high-risk airborne operations, serving as a platoon sergeant at 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team and a Transportation Supervisor at U.S. Army 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne). During my service, I have developed strong skills in performance management, time management, and organization, as well as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice/police science at University of Maryland Global Campus, with the goal of advancing my career and expanding my knowledge in the field. I am passionate about serving my country, protecting the public, and upholding the values of honor, integrity, and excellence.
