About Gui Shi

A former Big 4 auditor & consultant, I'm used to drafting narratives of what numbers mean and represent. Now, I look to leverage my strength in numbers to tell the story of products and brands. As a product marketer at Visa, I'm currently working on our Visa risk solutions portfolio to better tell Visa's AI capabilities and reposition our narrative in the market place - Visa risk solutions help reduce payments fraud for our clients and ultimately protect the everyday consumer to keep business and commerce moving. Previously, I was on the Visa Fintech & Crypto team and collaborated with our product, BD, and comms stakeholders to help drive Visa's fintech and crypto efforts to innovate and grow the payments ecosystem. From hosting Visa events/webinars to crafting thought leadership content and creating sales collateral, I'm passionate in honing in on my marketing skillsets to showcase Visa's constant innovation in payments, the partnerships we form, and the exciting opportunities ahead. During my time at UCLA Anderson, I interned at NBCUniversal within their Emerging Technology department to forecast the impact and opportunities that 5G and IoT devices will have on the entertainment sector. I also consulted on a project at Riot Games to provide marketing insights, help redefine the future of gaming, and advise on gamer needs. These experiences allowed me to see marketing through various industry lenses, develop a more holistic view of how to tackle customer insights, and formulate actionable plans from new opportunities.
