About Guido de Vaan

To descibe myself I would start with result driven. It's my passion to work in larger (multinational) companies, tasking myself to create added value by getting sponsorship of the right stakeholders in the company and reach the goals preset. My mind needs a lot of challenge and the many add on projects I did besides my control assigments made my work experiences even more fullfilling, My workstyle is to keep close track of the overall view, enabling to be a business partner up to strategic levels. Nevertheless, I certainly don't hesitate to investigate and understand the details of my financial work and act continuous with a hands on approach. With 20 years experience both in-house and as a consultant, I have worked as a (senior) controller for many global and national corporations. Roles executable: Business control, Financial Control, Project Control & Financial management. I have a strong generalist track record in various Industries. Such as Aerospace, Transport & Logistics, Chemical Industry, FMCG, Pension funds, Communications and Media. I was born and raised in the hitech city of Eindhoven, in a family driven by curiousity. After my study in my early twenties, I moved to Amsterdam where I still live enjoying this busting international city. In my free time, I enjoy many hobbies like history, cultural explorations & travel, scuba diving, skiing, fitness and nature incl (marine) biology. Learning about cultural difference has proven a great add on when working in international companies.
