About Guido Nierop

Senior Manager with over 30 years of experience in automotive engineering, specializing in Virtual Analysis and Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) management for vehicle development. I began my career as a Virtual Analysis Engineer at Alenia Spazio, working on attitude control systems for re-entry capsules, and later transitioned to Centro Ricerche FIAT, where I contributed to developing new NVH methodologies and coordinated European projects. Throughout my tenure at Fiat Group Automobiles, I have led highly skilled engineering teams, successfully achieving NVH targets on iconic models such as Punto 500, Bravo, Delta, and Giulietta. My experience also includes managing acoustic package design and virtual design for vehicle safety, durability, and performance. As Head of the NVH Body Group in recent years, I have coordinated target setting and design release activities for vehicle structures, doors, and accessories, with a focus on issues such as wind noise and BSR (Buzz, Squeak & Rattle). In addition, I have served as the Deployment Manager for DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology across the EMEA region, overseeing 50+ projects annually. My leadership extends to training and coaching Black Belts and Master Black Belts, integrating continuous improvement practices and fostering innovation within the company. With a a training in aerospace and a solid background in automotive engineering and a strong analytical and innovative approach, I am passionate about new challenges in engineering and complex project management. I am always open to discussing how I can contribute to the success of future projects in engineering management.
