About Guillermo Abascal

With over five years of work experience in the financial and operations sectors, I have developed core competencies in financial modeling, valuation, debt restructuring, commercial alliances, sales training, and digital marketing. My mission is to help businesses achieve their goals by providing them with innovative and effective solutions that leverage my analytical, strategic, and creative skills. I am currently pursuing an MBA at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, where I hope to gain more knowledge and insights on business administration, entrepreneurship, and leadership. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any team, as I have worked and studied in different countries and cultures, and speak two languages fluently. My most recent work experience was as a Senior IB Analyst at Hill House Capital, an investment banking firm in Mexico, until June 2022. There, I was involved in various debt issuances and debt restructuring transactions, where I developed and reviewed financial models, valuation methods, and pitch materials. I also developed recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations, and built relationships with new and existing clients. I applied my skills in financial accounting, management, strategic planning, and presentations to deliver high-quality results and exceed client expectations. Previously, I worked as a Commercial Manager and an Analyst at Link Desk Connect, a fintech startup that offers financial derivatives for hedging. There, I developed key commercial alliances with leading financial institutions, trained sales teams, analyzed potential clients, developed credit models, and implemented digital marketing strategies.
