About Gurkaran Singh

As a registered practical nurse (RPN) with a diploma in practical nursing from Humber College, I have gained valuable experience in cardiology and telemetry at William Osler Health System. For five months, I provided compassionate and evidence-based care to patients with cardiac conditions, monitoring their vital signs, administering medications, and interpreting ECG results. Prior to that, I completed a 10-month clinical nursing externship at the same hospital, where I learned from experienced mentors and enhanced my clinical skills and judgment. I also completed a four-month placement at Chartwell Retirement Residences, where I supported residents with behavioral and cognitive challenges. In addition to my nursing education and experience, I have obtained multiple certifications from Coursera in psychology, physical therapy, and psychological first aid, which have helped me develop a holistic and patient-centered approach to health care. I am passionate about improving the quality of life and well-being of my patients, and I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to new opportunities in the field of cardiology.
