About Gurpreet Singh

Over the span of my carrier, I have acquired in-depth expertise in cloud and HPC (high performance computing) infrastructure, DevOps practices, developing scalable backend web applications, and tackling complex problems in the field of computational biophysics. For the last three years, I have undertaken machine learning projects that involved data collection and processing; model selection, training and evaluation; and developing backend APIs that serve these models. For example, I built ray cluster for processing large datasets, used AWS batch jobs for machine learning pipelines, finetuned pretrained LLMs such as RoBERTa and GPT-3 for NLP tasks such as text classification, wrote APIs using FastAPI that leverages these finetuned models and deployed them on to AWS ECS and Fargate. I am interested in working on projects that involves developing infrastructure/code and a bit of research.
