About Gustav Rakovsky

I'm a passionate analyst with more than 10 years of experience in the financial and payment industry, combining both - technical as well as business understanding. I have worked on - setting up a (credit) risk/fraud prevention management (as a policy administrator) and reporting framework - establishing guidelines and monitoring of their rollout and implementation (e.g. based on regulatory requirements, like ICAAP, BCBS 239, GDPR, PSD2, etc.)- improving process workflows, leading to a notable positive business impact and - evaluation of merchant risk and execution of related onboarding/KYC processes - beeing responsible for several international projects (e.g. integration and parameterization of fraud prevention and credit risk tools) during my career At the moment I'm working as an Expert Regulatory Business and Data Analyst at Austrian Reporting Services (AuRep). Based on my desire for self-development, I have already a broad set of relevant technical skills, like advanced SQL and BI knowledge (certified Splunk Power User and working with tools like Tableau and Power BI). In addition I've gained experience as a line manager and speaker at industry specific conferences/webinars. Due to my strength of purpose and open mindset, I'm hungry for new challenges - because it's really a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.
