I’m thrilled to join the United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo as the Coordinator of the newly inaugurated Social Impact Lab. I am a French Canadian coming from Bonnyville, I have chosen to make RMWB my home after dedicating 40 years to the Canadian Red Cross, my work spanned international and domestic disaster recovery, health emergencies, and resilience building. My HIV/AIDS activism and global health initiatives with the Red Cross-including pivotal roles in health emergencies like the Haiti earthquake and Typhoon Haiyan have taught me a lot about Health in emergencies and health systems. Since arriving in RMWB July 2016, I have learned about the various social fabrics,Truth & Reconciliation in practice, the dynamism and speed of change, its global citizens, generosity, and toughness or resolve.
