Professional Engineer 35 years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Safety Analyses, Licensing, Design and modifications • Participated in the commissioning of nuclear and safety systems during the start-up of the Gentilly-2 CANDU-6 plant. As a Physics Engineer, he prepared specifications for on-line refuelling and was the first to develop refuelling strategies to control the power distributions in this type of reactor • Development and implement a unique calculation method for CANDU reactors that has been published in Canada, the United States and France, now used for all operating CANDU reactors in Canada, Korea, China, Romania and Argentina • Nuclear Safety Engineer in charge of engineering analyses and studies to improve the efficiency of CANDU Safety Systems, of engineering support for design change packages, environment qualification (EQ) requirements, safety requirements and inputs for design and configuration changes, safe operating envelope (SOE), severe accident management strategies and guides (SAMG), maintenance optimisation and risk informed decision strategies. • Manager, Analyses and Reliability Department at Hydro-Québec, engineers and specialists in charge of safety, reliability, preventive and corrective maintenance requirements related to nuclear safety systems and regulatory affairs. • Vice-President Engineering at DESSAU, responsible of bids and proposals, of development, of staffing expert teams and supervising, directing and managing the realisation of the projects •Trained engineers and supervised the advanced studies of many nuclear engineers now working in various companies throughout Canada.
