Guy Innes is a seasoned senior leader and expert in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), currently serving as the Director for Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning at Heartland Alliance International. With over 24 years of experience, he is an innovator, scientist, and economist who has successfully led, managed, monitored and evaluated multi-year, multi-million-dollar initiatives, delivering sustainable development results and driving social impact.For the past ten (10) years, Guy has been deeply immersed in designing and managing innovative project, program, and portfolio-level monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems. He excels in leveraging the latest approaches, methods, tools, and technologies to ensure evidence-based decision-making, learning, and accountability while respecting the time and privacy of participants and beneficiaries.Furthermore, Guy has extensive experience as an independent evaluator, applying mixed methods to conduct program/project formative and summative assessments across various regions. His evaluations span diverse areas, including leadership development in the Caribbean, cooperatives in the Solomon Islands, refugees/migration in Jordan, women's economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and resiliency in Ethiopia and Burundi, and government reform/decentralization in Ghana.
