About Guy Knudsen

Northwest Natural Resource Advocates law practice (NWNRA) is based out of Pullman, Washington. I am licensed to practice in the states of Washington and California, and am admitted to the Washington State Bar Association, State Bar of California, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Washington, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. My primary legal focus is on environmental, forest, and agricultural law (ESA, NEPA, NFMA, CWA, etc.) I have also researched and published extensively on environmental aspects of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Another area of interest is international environmental and human rights law, especially in relation to the country of Haiti. Current projects there include Haitian food security, and legal/microbiological aspects of the ongoing cholera epidemic. I also take on some pro bono legal work, mostly in family law, for Whitman County Legal Services, and serve on the board of directors of Paloma Institute paloma-institute dot org). My research and teaching interests involve understanding and managing plant diseases and insect pests, microbial activities in the environment, and sustainable agriculture.
