I have taken up the opportunity to pursue the future designation as a Chartered Accountant as I am an analytically driven, and am driven by a passion for critical thinking and problem solving, and I thrive in environments entailing teamwork and where I am intellectually stimulated. I am currently completing my third year of articles at EY South Africa, specialising in the Financial Services Insurance Sector, after graduating with Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy at the University of Witwatersrand in 2021. Having passed the Initial Test of Competence Exam as well as the SAICA Assessment of Professional Completence Exam I am on track registering as a CA (SA) in the coming months. Through my articles tenure, I have gained audit experience on the forefront of South Africa’s largest insurers in compliance with IFRS 17, and South African banks in terms of IFRS 9.
