Machinist: I am looking to primarily do CNC Lathe work. Program setup and run preferably Mazak Lathes. I have extensive experience both ON SITE and in SHOP. Capable of operating a wide range of machining equipment, both manual & CNC. Work performed include manufacture and repair of various steam and gas turbine components. Parts for the paper mill industry. Rotor blading/bucketing and shroud installation and machining. Journal grinding of turbine rotors and shafts. Incoming and out going dimensional inspections. Machining of steam and gas turbine diaphragms as directed. Boring bars. Lamina Drills. Bolt and turbine stud removal/drilling. Fan shafts and key ways. Capable of reading drawings and communicating on a technical level in regard to machine usage and application. Babbitt turbine bearings, elliptical, oils sweeps, seals, and dams (spin cast, static cast, And puddle). Taper land Thrust Plate machining and scraping of taper land. Hydrogen Oil Seals. Experienced in the use of various types of precision measuring Instruments including Hexagon Metrology CMM. My objective is to Setup, Program and run Mazak Quick Turn and Nexus Lathes. I also do straight line G-Code programing on VTLs with Fanuc controls. Reverse engineer from samples to Cad to Tool Path.
