About Guy Simmons

I have been actively involved in the hospitality sector since 1974. My professional career spans the East and West coast of the United States, the Caribbean as well as Central & Eastern Europe. I previously worked for private and public entities managing their hotels under global brands such as DoubleTree by Hilton, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Radisson SAS (now Radisson Blu). In 1992 I began my European hospitality carrier arriving in Szczecin Poland as a member of the Radisson Hotel Szczecin opening team. I then moved to Moscow, Russia to become part of the Radisson Slavjanskaya Hotel management team and executive comity member. My European career continued when I transferred back to Poland leading to the opening of three Holiday Inns in the country, including the Holiday Inn Kraków, Gdańsk and Wrocław. After these assignments I was deeply involved in the opening of the iconic InterContinental Warsaw Hotel. In the years 2005 - 2007, I was the Director of Operations for Domina Hotels and Resorts for Northern and Eastern Europe where I traveled extensively throughout Russia and Ukraine. From 2008 – 2011 I was part of Colliers’ Hospitality Department in Poland, where I was in charge of key international clients. After my tenure in Colliers, I managed the construction and pre-opening activities of first the DoubleTree by Hilton in Warsaw (Wawer) and then the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at the Kraków Airport. I am a part of Poland's leading Hospitality Consulting firm Hotel Professionals. During my participation in a great number of CEE hotel projects and operations I have had the pleasure of working with and to help develop many young hotel professionals. This has helped me to build a strong network of vibrant and active pool of hotel specialists. This ads to my strengths as a professional and allows me to continue to elevate and develop hotel professionals for many of the hotel projects that I am involved in.
