About Guy van Sise

I have now worked in the truck equipment industry for six years, specializing in the installation, diagnosis, and repair of aftermarket truck bodies, machinery, and accessories from a variety of manufacturers. In addition to welding and fabrication of both heavy plate and smaller gauge material, installation and repair of equipment requires a working knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems, automotive electrical, and pneumatics.[Please consult my resume for a detailed list of specific equipment, truck and equipment manufacturers, skills and abilities.] Legacy Equipment is the third company I have worked for within the truck equipment industry, having voluntarily left previous companies for positions that offer increased experience, as well as higher pay and better benefits. My movement within the industry has allowed me to experience different shop environments, including differences in specific equipment and manufacturer expertise, installation design, quality standards and expectations, and overall management and shop organization. Within a relatively short period of time I have managed to gain a diverse portfolio of skills, abilities, and professional experiences. My professional goals include gaining my ASE Master certification in truck equipment (E Series), obtaining a supervisory or possibly sales position, as well as considering professional opportunities outside of the truck equipment industry that are compatible with my work experience and abilities. My previous work experiences included custom furniture carpentry, housing construction, cell-phone tower construction, shipping and receiving, and forklift operation. I also have experience in retail sales, outdoor recreation, and I spent three years working as an ESL teacher in South Korea. Having completed an Undergraduate in Piano Performance and a Masters in Musicology, I am currently exploring opportunities to return to school and pursue studies in Mechanical Engineering.
