About Guy Weibel

I'm a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S in chemistry and data science. At UW-Madison, I've performed independent research for 3 years in three areas: developing methods for recycling polymers, analyzing large amounts of bacterial diagnostic data to improve detection algorithms, and studying how viral genome sequences impact the ability of viruses to infect bacterial cells. In addition to growing my capabilities in data science, statistics, and chemistry, these experiences have taught me how to work backward from a question or hypothesis and design experiments to test it, analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions, and communicate results effectively within a team or to an external audience. I am passionate about applying my data analytics and programming skills to new problems, leveraging my background in the molecular sciences and chemical engineering as needed.
