Retired as a Scientist-G from the National Physical Laboratory New Delhi wherein the major contribution has been made in the field of PBL studies over Antarctica. I have been thrice to Antarctica and in the year 2006 did 100 hours of video shooting in Antarctica covering almost all scientific and technological aspects. Several science films on Antarctica are being developed. Earlier I had designed developed and installed an automatic Acoustic Sounder (SODAR) at Maitri Antarctica. This equipment gives a photographic display of all the atmospheric processes right from the surface upto an altitude of 1 km and can be installed anywhere in the world. We have also developed a shipborne Acoustic Sounder which probed the east Antarctic marine boundary layer.
