Hello! I'm an endlessly curious and creative 35-year-old residing in the vibrant and multicultural city of Cape Town, South Africa. With a passion for child development, I bring six years of teaching experience to the table. For four years, I taught the CAPS curriculum in South Africa, fostering a child-centered perspective in the classroom. Following this, I spent two enriching years teaching the American curriculum at a private school in Kuwait. In my teaching approach, I seamlessly blend the Science of Reading, Total Physical Response (TPR), props, PowerPoint slides, and technology to create an engaging and effective learning environment. My warm and gentle demeanour facilitates a conducive atmosphere for learning, resulting in proven efficacy in MAP score improvement and strong connections with both learners and parents. Recently, I've ventured into the world of writing, with a particular focus on digital marketing, research writing, copywriting, copy-editing, and proofreading. I am deeply passionate about Educational Technology and becoming a Learning Experience Designer, collaborating with innovative and progressive teams to create inclusive instructional content that inspires students. Beyond the realm of education, my diverse interests lead me to explore digital illustration with the aspiration of publishing illustrated children's storybooks. Outside of professional pursuits, I am an avid foodie who loves experimenting with new cuisines. I find solace in nature, dedicating time to meditation and delving into books that cover an array of topics, from self-love and healing to philosophy and productivity. My interests extend to cottage core living, hygge, interior design, and minimalism. I am actively seeking opportunities with companies that align with my values, offering professionally challenging roles in a positive and innovative work culture. I am eager to contribute my skills and make a deep, impactful change while engaging with an international clientele in meaningful and purposeful work.
