At Atrium Health Pineville, I have had the opportunity to pioneer a new service line in the emergency department. My role as an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and team leader entails streamlining quality improvement processes and enhancing patient care delivery with a focus on bedside clinical services. My competencies in medical education are further exercised through my position as a Clinical Preceptor for multiple colleges of pharmacy and physician assistant programs as well as serving as adjunct faculty for the UNCC CRNA program; these educational positions provide an opportunity to contribute to shaping the next generation of pharmacists, physician assistants, and CRNAs. Additionally, through forming a collaborative with the North Carolina Poison Center, I have been able to establish an innovative bedside toxicology service, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive emergency care.
